Default SuperSized Ipod Touch

Rumor

An Ipod Touch this Fall with a 7" or 9" screen... would this even be considered an iPod or a Tablet?

http://www.engadget.com/2008/12/31/a...zed-ipod-touc/

for me it boils down too battery life & battery replacement.

To me this seems more like an in-house media player and not something you would carry around with you (compared to a conventional laptop).

Would be uninteresting to me as we can either play music through the PS3 or plug the Itouch into the laptop or PC that is connected to the tv.

Might be interesting to people who would like to add a touch sensitive media player to their home theater though, so I can see where the idea of a super-sized version is coming from!

Cool idea as a better 'on the go' media center but I'd be happy with a 100GB iPod Touch to replace my 16GB one with.

Only if the screen folded up/down like a netbook.

I definitely wouldn't get one... I have so many forms of making my meda portable already (laptop, PSP, iPhone, Eee PC, HP Mini)... I agree with someone above who stated I'd take a bigger capacity Touch (100+ GB) rather than a bigger screen Touch.

well the problem with wanting a bigger drive is that they're very expensive. and thats why a 32gb is the biggest you can buy.

Sounds awesome but it will probably be really expensive. I just got the 8gb version for Christmas and love it.

I'd rather have a touch that can replace my 80 gb classic I use only in the car. Otherwise I'll continue to use my 16gb iPhone and my 12" G4 powerbook.

What's wrong with a micro-tablet PC with integrated Skype? That would be a good idea.

Or Sony Vaio "P", if you have slightly deeper pockets.

I'll be waiting for the "next" 'P', as I hate the bezel, but love the super-high resolution.

I wish Apple would improve the iPod Touch in three ways: improve the battery life (apps drain the battery); use a 7" screen to fill the entire screen of the iPod Touch, and increase the storage to 128 MB. Otherwise it's the best iPod ever.

they need to make the resolution clearer, what is it now 350x250 or something, I'm not spending to upgrade my ipod for that..

I find it hard to believe the rumor, but I would be open to it. I still prefer the iPod classic though.
