Has anybody watched The Untouchables yet on Blu Ray? I bought it yesterday and watched it today for the first time and its amazing! Picture is crisp it looks much different than the DVD version! The transfer is A+! I suggest everyone own this Blu Ray!

i can't believe people actually like (or even love) this movie....i hated it....imo this movie wants to make a name for itself among the best gangster movies, but fails horribly. I couldn't take it seriously at all.

but that's just my opinion

While not in the top tier of transfers, the PQ for the movie is quite pleasing to the eyes and is a significant improvement over the DVD.

I for one like the film a lot. I'm a sucker for anything set during the '30s and I enjoy the story and score as well. My only complaint is that the DTS track is a bit too base heavy for my taste, but it's a small nitpick.

its my favorite Blu ray quality right now. Its one of my favorite movies of all time also. and yea the picture was crisp.

I loved this movie, once it was release on BD I picked it up right away and was please with both the AQ and PQ...excellent movie to have in every collection.

Its kind of a cartoonish view and the happy ending annoys me, plus Elliot Ness never did any of that in reality. He stayed in an office/ behind the scenes etc.

Sean Connery put in a stellar performance and received a Best Supporting Actor Oscar Award for his role.

Wow..I remember seeing it in the theater. I still think its a great movie and everytime it comes on on cable..I watch it (whether it be in the middle or at the end)

Sean Connery plays his role wonderfully

Wasn't this accused of excessive DNR? I heard the grain was all but removed. Not interested in that kind of look, personally. Love the film, though.

I bought The Untouchables on Black Friday, but haven't had the time to watch it. That might be my next one that I'll watch either tonight or tomorrow.

great movie!

I was surprised how awesome the picture quality was for a movie made in 1987.

Got it right after the wise business decision Paramount made last year and think it has a good PQ and AQ, not the greatest but for an older movie like it is, it is worth you while!
