"Let the Right One In"
It was on 4 different top 10 list for 2008 and has a mid-90's rating on rotten tomatoes. From a CNN reviewer: Preteen vampires. This is what "Twilight" would be if it were five times better, Swedish and told from the point of view of a lonely 12-year-old boy. Last edited by johnarnold101; 12-31-2008 at 09:52 PM. |

This is a description from Netflix.
Twelve-year-old Oskar (Kåre Hedebrant), the constant target of bullies, spends his time plotting revenge and collecting news items about the grisly murders plaguing his town. Things change for Oskar when he meets new girl Eli (Lina Leandersson), a misfit vampire who steals his heart. As a serial killer continues to prey on teen boys in the small village outside Stockholm, Sweden, Eli helps Oskar find the courage to stand up to his tormenters. |

I'm about to turn in my man card, the women I work with told me I couldn't make fun of the Twilight book series until I read it. I read it and I'm making fun of it anyway even though the last book was pretty good. I'm reading the Sookie series (HBO series) now...women at work again, I like it better.
When I read the review for this movie and told them the reviewers like it better then twilight they scoffed at that.....yes, I said scoffed. ![]() I'm going to buy the book for this movie and make them read it. ![]() Thanks for the information from those who have or know someone who has seen it. I got a PM saying it is "The Dark Knight" meets "Twilight". Does that sound right to those who have seen it? |

I wouldn't call it Twilight Meets TDK. I think its more like [Show spoiler] meets an adult version of Twilight(minus werewolves and clans and crap) still with kids but younger and way way better.Toss in a dash of Fright Night as well and even a little Karate Kid.
