Exclamation Blu-ray April 21st and May 27th buying day thread locked at AVSforum!- Now reopened

I am angry . This happens over and over: an HD-DVD fanboy comes over to a positive Blu-ray thread and takes a piss all over it, flinging insults and vitriol and personally harrassing other people.

Then when the thread begins to heat up a moderator comes in andn either locks or deletes it.

Why can't the offending HD_DVD member have his posts deleted?

Why can't the offending HD_DVD member be banned or suspended?

Why delete or lock an entire thread?

Why was the April 15th HD_DVD buying thread allowed to run forever and gain steam?

Seriously everyone should go over there and start a Blu-ray revolt.

I notice great intolerance for Sony technologies on AVS.

Here is the link to the thread:
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=835294

I'm really glad Mark was responsive and willing to re-open the thread. He understood that all Blu-ray owners shouldn't be punished because HD_DUDers come and troll our threads outrageuously.

Anyway it almost seems to be the HDDVD strategy over there:

step 1) locate positive blu-ray thread
step 2) crap all over said thread
step 3) get thread closed
step 4) celebrate becuase another blu-ray thread has been censored

Hopefully Mark has set a precedent and the mods will now just ban the offending HDDVD owner instead of letting them effectively censor the Blu-ray forum.

Anyway please order some movies on Saturday. I've got all my pre-orders in already but I'm going to pick up some catalog titles:

Dragon's Lair
American Psycho
Click
The Holiday
The Tailor of Panama
The Usual Suspects
Running with Scissors
Dark Water

So thats 8 titles for me on Saturday.

Check out the Apocalist thread here for any movies you may have missed when they were first released, or the release thread over at AVSforum.

Although it would be much nicer to just hang out at Blu-ray.com I think it is important to get as many independent Blu-ray voices as possible to still hang around AVSforum and counter the HD-DVD craziness that takes hold over there sometimes.

There are numerous people such nataraj and lagosian who are part of the MS police over there.

Those are the people who really get into your nerves.

Was it created in the Blu-Ray movies forum? Maybe contact a moderator and ask them to approve the post. I think that is BS regardless.

What I am doing is linking up to this site whenever I can. That way the Blu crowd will know where they belong. AVS has a number of ego driven people who lead others around like sheep.

Maybe we should start doing that here. There's lot of secret closet HD DVDers here that use a similar startegy and keep posting over and over negative posts.

Anyway it almost seems to be the HDDVD strategy over here:

step 1) locate positive blu-ray thread
step 2) crap all over said thread in a more subltle (but coordinated) way
step 3) celebrate because on this forum we've had a more tolerant policy of opposing views (but we're runing out of patience)

Hopefully Deci has set a precedent and the mods will soon just ban the offending HDDVD shill instead of letting them effectively undermine the Blu-ray forum.

What say you?
