Reasons why you chose your a/v receiver

I thought it would be interesting for us to share why we bought the receivers we did. This is not a whos is better type of thread, but just to see why you chose what you chose. If you can, prioritize them, just the main reasons.

here goes...


I chose the the Sony 5300es:

1. xvycc and deep color compatable (all my components support it, tv, bd player etc.. the picture looks amazing) also 20 fps compatable

2. TrueHD & DTS HD master decoding

3. The way the front display looks in a dark room

4. It was on clearance

5. Sony invented blu-ray, so i figured its gotta be good for video enhancing!

6. Read excellent reviews

7. It sounds awesome
