Default Cover Artwork

I've noticed when some films are released from DVD onto Blu-Ray or that a new film is released on both formats, sometimes the cover artwork is the same for both the DVD and Blu-Ray release.

Do you prefer Blu-Ray releases with the same cover artwork as the DVD or artwork unique to Blu-Ray?

I can't vote, there is no proper option for me. Since I never bought a dvd, and don't plan on it, It doesn't matter what they look like to me, imo

depends on the title.

i for one love the dvd cover art for The Matrix, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and Gladiator. those i'd like to remain the same.

others, i'd like to see some differnt art work for. i liked how Daredevil was different from the dvd to the blu.

Usually, the DVD "special edition" or 2-disc editions have better artwork and that's featured on the Blu-ray version. But I think it depends on the studio. I think the movie posters should be the featured cover art. Some films have an amazing poster, advertising their presence in theaters.. and when it gets to DVD, the cover is lame (ie: History of Violence, The Last Samurai, etc.).

Doesn't matter. The case itself is already unique itself

It reaaaally depends on the release. But I voted "unique", I like it when there's more than just the transfer.

It definitely feels more unique when it has a different cover

The DVD cover for MONGOL was fantastic! I hate the Blu-ray cover! I still bought it though!

I put Unique artwork, but only if it is "better" cool, often the cover are on both are lame, put something good like the movie poster.
