Looking for a tv - recommendations?

I just got my tax refund looking to upgrade my tv this week if there are any good deals. We currently have a 37" Olevia 1080i HDTV that I bought for $500 a couple of years ago. I'm looking at a budget of around $1500-1800 (after tax). I might be able to squeeze out a couple hundred more if there is a really good deal out there.

Ideally I'd also like to get another blu-ray player (put the tv we have now in the bedroom) if there are any 'buy a tv get a blu-ray player deals'. I don't want to go with anything less than 46", 52" would be ideal. We don't do cable or other types of tv, we only use it to watch movies. We'll hook up our tv to a Sony 550 blu-ray player.

I've browsed amazon.com and a couple of stores but the choices are dizzying. I want to know I'm investing in a quality product.
