Unhappy BD-P1000 Loading Problems--Crank & Ultimate Avengers

Hello,

First post here, but I have visited the forums for some time. Just recently got Ultimate Avengers collection and Crank. When trying Ultimate Avengers last week, it shows the load animation for a while, then stops. Black screen, player says LOAD.

I swapped the Blu-Ray for a new one, thinking it might have been the disc, since other disks (the Spiderman 3 promo disc, Hitch, Click, Casino Royale) all still work. Still no dice with the new one. So I disregarded it for a few days.

Got Crank today, take home, and same thing happens. Hangs at load. Other Blu-Ray still work.

Some specs for info:
BD-P1000 hooked up through:
HDMI to DVI cable
The TV is NOT 1080p capable, but that's OK, since I was watching it fine, saving up for a nice 1080p LCD. Might be key to problem.
Have never updated firmware, since purchase in Oct '06

Will be updating firmware soon, once have CD-R.

Any info you guys might have would be great. I'll certainly contribute back now that I am a member.
