Default Panasonic DMP-BD35

Hi Guys,
I have the Panasonic DMP-BD35 connected to a Vizio GV47L. I am trying to play 24P mode on the blu ray but I could not move it from off. Is it the TV who does not support 24P or the movie, or the HDMI cable which the one I got is high speed 10.2Gbps. I was on Costco watching a display movie on DMP-BD35 and a newer model of Vizio, I took the remote and tried to look if it was on 24P, and it was not, and tried to change from off position, I could not. So, it seems to me, that the newer model is not the answer. Any help on this?

If the TV does not support 24P then the player will not let you move the option to "YES". If you think your TV supports 24P then you should look into the issue more.

Pannys have no 24p force option.
If the display doesn't communicate 24p capability via HDMI's EDID then the Panny will not allow 24p.
It has nothing to do with the cables.

A quick glance at the set's manual shows no mention of 24p capability.

If it isn't comunicated via HDMI, then officially the answer is "no".

I have this Vizio 47" LCD TV. I am using a Sony S350 player connected to my receiver and then to my Vizio using Belkin PureAV HDMI 1.3a cables. I get 24p output from my S350 because the blue 24p LED light comes on. On my player I needed to set 24p output to ON instead of the factory default AUTO. I greatly perfer watching it in 24p instead of 60p. It just looks more realistic. I don't see any judder or motion artifacts. The Vizio 3:2 pull down is smooth and I am very pleased. I suggest you take the Panny 35 back to the dealer and exchange it for a Sony BDP-S350 player. Then you can enjoy movies the way they were meant to seen my friend.

The light on the player is a good clue, but what does the display report if you hit the info button?
If its 1080p/60 then the AVR is taking the 24p from the Sony and converting it to 60p. (exactly what happens in the player when you output 60p)
If you do see 24p and the AVR is properly passing the signal through, then Visio should come up with a firmware update that properly advertises 24p capability via EDID.

Returned it to the store, not an option, I already updated my receiver to enyoy 7.1 DTS master audio and sony 350s does not reach that.
