Default Howard The Duck

Who would want Howard the Duck on blu-ray? I just saw it on DVD today, and would love to have a blu-ray version of it. Wouldn't hurt to add some new special features as well .

You're in for a loooooong wait as Howard the Duck was just released on DVD for the first time about 18 months ago, maybe a little longer and it's already dropped in price to $4.99.

Unfortunately, this is true. I have the DVD copy..... Don't think we will see a Blu-ray anytime soon...... if ever.

I do love this movie. Don't ask me why...... cause I dunno. It's just fun.

I would be inclined to agree. However, we have movies released on blu-ray that were never released on dvd. Some films on blu didn't even see VHS or Laser Disc releases. So, I'll never say never.

The OP asked who would want it on Blu Ray and honestly not me not ever not on any format. I almost got this movie entirely erased from my memory and then I watched some stupid "worst movies ever made" program and guess which movie topped their list. That will teach me to watch a special devoted to crappy movies. Oh and yeah I think it will come out eventually but I am not going to contribute to it's sale one bit.

I'd buy it. Lea Thompson is just too hot in it to pass up. Plus, if this got released, we'd HAVE to get a Willow release!

But I can hope.

Seriously though, Universal Studios has the rights to this film, and they take forever to release their catalogue titles. If it was a different company they would have released the title on DVD a long time ago. In regards to a blu-ray release, our best hope is that Universal Studios sells the rights to the film (and the way Universal is handling the film, it doesn't look like they are making money, and wouldn't mind selling it) to another company and then they release the film on blu-ray. I wouldn't mind Lionsgate acquiring the rights to the film.
