Are you serious? 1.5 for the movie itself? That's a little ridiculous if you ask me. Seems like the reviewer just did a bad score on the rest of the supplements because he didn't like the movie too

dumb and dumber is by far one of the funniest movies of our generation! i love that movie!

Yeah horrible review. And also the line about "retarded kids". Even if he says no offense, that's still uncalled for. You could say immature kids but not "retarded kids".

He misses the whole point of the movie.

Sometimes I wish they would only post a link to rottentomatoes.com. The movie reviews on here are starting to just not make any sense.

The movie is at least a four, a 1.5 is just absoured. Horrible review.

yeah im not really fond of Sir Terrence's reviews. For example, Mamma Mia! the movie, i thought the movie was good and the blu ray was outstanding, but he gave all 3! WTF! he probably didn't like the movie so he goes off saying the picture look un-natural and the sound was too "digital" for him. i don't follow his reviews at all.

I'll side with him. Dumb and Dumber is awful. Inane and brain-deteriorating. Ditto for the Ace Ventura movies. Carrey really wasn't bearable until Eternal Sunshine.

You can't put a guy down for what is essentially his own view of a film. Whats is one mans trash is another mans treasure.

It's called an OPINION boys and girls. That is all a review ever is, one person's opinion. They are not always going to agree with you. In this instance I agree, Dumb and Dumber is completely summed up by its own title, I think it's an awful movie. I am quite certain there are movies that I love that many other people with look down upon. Get over it.

Well, my OPINION (since the reviewer has one of his own) is that this movie review IS HORRIBLE!

1.5 stars? Are you freaking kidding me? I just lost a little respect for blu-ray.com.

I have a friend that is a part time actor and a complete intellectual when it comes to movies-- loves all the "arthouse" flicks, usually rips all the
action, horror, and "mindless entertainment" genres.

yet, he often loves comedies such as Austin Powers, Dumb and Dumber,
and the like.

The point is-- humor is completely subjective. I never trust anybodies opinion on a comedy because there is no right or wrong-- it's simply
what one person finds to be funny.

I certainly have a different opinion on this movie. I think it's a classic and at least a 4/5 but everyone can have their own opinion.

If you don't think Dumb and Dumber is one funny movie for sense less comedy, you need to get out and enjoy life more! One of the best all time...... Now on the other hand D&D2 SUCKED

This is why there are professional reviewers at major newspapers who get respect, and then Job Blows like this guy on blu-ray.com who don't have a clue....

I'll stick to Rotten Tomatoes from now on for reviews (as they seem to line up to my tastes more), and only come here for video/audio quality reviews.

while I agree with all that... I think this movie is one you either really liked or really hated... I really liked it so its alllllll GOOD
