Question Do You Really Really Need The Hdmi Cable On A Bluray Player?

just 1 day ago my brother told me he was not gonna buy the playstation 3 on a long time so i decided to buy a bluray player myself but if i do that am not gonna have enough money to buy an HDTV no matter how small it will be and my question is ¿CAN YOU CONNECT ANY BLURAY PLAYER TO A NORMAL TV (WITHOUT THE HDMI CABLE I KNOW) EVEN IF THE QUALITY.....

Yes.
Most blu-ray players have composite outputs(Yellow, Red, White) to connect to legacy TC sets so you can watch blu-ray in 480i.

Some even have component(Green, Blue, Red) video cables as well.

Component cables work. I think you can get 1080p from them, but for sure 1080i/720p.

Are you buying a PS3, or a bluray player? While you don't need the hdmi cable, I don't see why you would buy a standalone bluray player, which it sounds like you're doing, without an HD TV.

I don't understand this answer, both the PS3 and standalones have composite and S-Video outs for older tv sets. Standalone or PS3 buyers choice

Makes sense to me You buy what you want
Ps3 isn't The best or # 1 Blu-player out there anymore,Anyway ( calm down you Ps3 hardcore Heads ).

If you look at my system below you can see that i have a PS3 and a Blu-ray player . All i here from my Younger Boy's is Dad Can i play the Ps3,so i understand how your thinking
If all your looking for is a good blu -ray player then may i recommened Panasonic or Sony

Sure a blu-ray player will play without a HDMI cable, but down the road i hope you find yourself a new or used 720p or 1080p TV.
Blu-ray will blow you away on one of those TV's
