Well, it has finally arrived.

My TH-50PZ850u has been delivered and is setting on my TV stand as we speak (type). It is a beautiful piece of equipment.

I haven't really watched anything on it due to a large project I have going on for work, but the kids watched some TV. I have mostly had it just running some colors from the Plasma Break-in thread over at AVS. I listen to music anyway while I work, so it works out great.

I am hoping after Wednesday, I'll have more time to focus on getting pictures and watching something on it.

Congrats Lou!

I'm on my 2nd. Panny Plasma and couldn't be happier. And unless I get into a Projector setup, my next one will be a Panny as well!

I just picked up the 50 inch 850 on saturday. I love it. I had a 40inch xbr 2, and the difference is amazing. What is this break in disc you speak of? Can you post or pm me a link? I have just been careful turning the picture and brightness settings all the way down, but I would love a break in disc.

thanks

Mike

I got this one on Black Friday for $699.00 and it looks great. I use it as my living room TV. I must say when I am more than a couple of feet away from the set, Blu-ray looks just as good on this as my 60" 1080p.

Well, there are two sites where you can download images and put them on an SD card.

I had a 128MB SD card from my first digital camera laying around, so I just loaded the images on it and do the slide show on the TV itself. No sense using s DVD or the SD reader in my BD player, right?

Anyway, Here are the two sites where you can get images.

These are the ones I am currently using:
http://www.eaprogramming.com/downloa...kIn_Images.zip

I cannot get my Panny to recognize these images. I do not know why.
http://www.webapalooza.com/plasma/

There is a very thorough discussion about plasma break-in over at AVS Forum.
http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=949107

Good luck and I'll keep you all updated.
