Next year it will be 10 years since it was released.
I just watched this awesome movie. Definitely Aardman's best and not to mention the best work featuring Wallace and Gromit. In one of the featurettes, Steve Box says something like "it's been five years in the making of this movie and I hope people will watch it again and again". No doubt it was hard work, with 122,000 individual still shots to make this into a movie, and all that jazz... But this is the only W&G feature which HASN'T made it to the Blu-ray format and I'm honestly wondering why the hell that is. Wallace & Gromit: The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit is a finely crafted masterpiece, at least visually, so I think it's not too much to ask to crave it comes onto the BD format next year, to celebrate its anniversary and also it should be in 4K. I think that'd be cool. PS. I believe Dreamworks own the rights? |

If anything perhaps my pre-order will invoke the Blu-ray gods to announce a US release for this as well. |

I'll be watching this projected at 150" diagonal. I have no doubt this 1080p presentation (Blu-ray) with 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio (lossless) will be a big jump over the 480p presentation (DVD) with 5.1 Dolby Digital audio (lossy). That being said, I do plan to give this a spin over the weekend. I'll make sure to chime back in.
Also, I just finished cataloging this if anyone is interested in taking a closer look over the release. I documented all the special features available, including the running times for each. The Blu-ray menus are also available in a number of different languages, including English. To learn more see here. Last edited by AmishParadise; 03-09-2019 at 04:36 AM. |

This is BS. If someone or a company owns a film, they have the right to let it be distributed by whomever the hell they see fit. Look at Castle Rock. They had films distributed by Sony until they let MGM handle them. Why else would a film like Misery have the MGM logo on the DVD when it was originally released by Sony?

Fantastic transfer from start to finish. Not sure I could have asked for a better presentation on Blu-ray.
![]() Looking for a little taste? Something to wet your whistle perhaps? See spoiler link below. Enjoy! :-P [Show spoiler]
