Default BD playback and PSN

I have noticed that after i watch a blu ray and return to the XMB i have been signed out of the PSN. Once I have returned back to the XMB i get signed back in.. Does this happen to anyone else? It does not happen while i watch video stored on the PS3 hard drive.. It's quite annoying that during the film I go offline. Any suggestions?

It automatically signs you out when watching a BD/DVD. I don't think there is an option to change it.

this is a good thing! It ensures that when you watch a movie it is not ruined by seeing that buddy x has signed into the network and so on! that would be incredibly distracting

yeah true.. but tonight I was waiting for a mate to sign in so we could play online - it was only then that I realised "hang on...Am I even logged in??"

I think there should be an option on whether you want to be signed in our not. And XMB access during a film!

I can't remember for sure if it's always been like that but I know it has for quite a while. I've had my ps3 since launch so I can't really remember if it was like that right out of the box. Could have been an early FW upgrade.

yeah i really cant remember either.. i've only noticed lately though.. But perhaps that is just because I was waiting for someone to sign in. If they took it away, they should bring it back - at least as an option! (to show psn alerts)
