Default Upgrading amp....

Well i've been thinking of upgrading my amp ever since I picked up the new Panny. My choices have been between Marantz SR7002 or SR8002 and Denon
AVR-3808CI or the Onkyo TX-SR876. Just wanted some feedback from you guys on what unit you preffer and what other options/choices you can recomend.

One option I've been looking at is this new Rotel amp.

Have not heard it yet but plan on hearing it by April and if it pases my ears I will place an order for it.

You may want to look at the new Cambridge Audio Azur 640v2 it will probrably be in the $1500.00 - $1900.00 range and thats close to your current budget. What type of speakers will you be using

Emotiva amps, hands down, will give you best bang for your buck. Very very good reviews on the net about their products. The XPA-5 was on sale over the Holidays for $699 shipped. Another great amp that won't break your bank is Outlaw.

I'll be keeping my curent speaker setup.

Mains : Energy C5's
Center: Energy C-C50 (looking for a C-C1)
Surrounds: Energy C-R122

You can see them in the HT section.

Are you looking for separates or an A/V receiver?

King,

It really depends on what I find at a good price... I think the most "cost" effective would be an A/V receiver. But if I can get both separates units at the same budget I had for the A/V, I might go with separates.

Whats better anyways ? all in one or separates?
