Default More Combo Players Coming To Us And Europe

More electronics manufactories are making integrated chips that work in combo players. We should see several different combo players in late 2008 if Universal Studios stays HD-DVD exclusive.

LG is going to release the BH100 combo player in Europe in the month of May. The bad thing about this combo player is it is not a true HD-DVD player that plays interactive menus for HD-DVD. Also some have had issues playing BLU-RAY discs in this model. Hopefully LG second generation combo player will be better quality with fully HD-DVD support.

It would have been better if all the United States studios and Europe studios would have supported BLU-RAY. Since both countries do not have 100% studio support there is a market for working combo players. The problem right now is no one makes a combo player that works with both formats. Not being able to fast forward or rewind HD-DVD discs and not being able to access the HD-DVD discs original menu is unacceptable.

LG's player is going to cost about £1,000.. why would I buy that when for less I can get both a fully functinoal BD/HD stand alone player for a smaller price tag?

Combo players... my arse!
