Heres the Trailer....
http://wwws.warnerbros.co.jp/ichi/

It just looks like a a Female verison of zatoichi.... Yesasia has the Blu-ray release date of April 3rd, but no subtitles!!!!

Someone have any infomation on this?
http://www.yesasia.com/us/ichi-blu-r...0-en/info.html

Considering it has something to do with Warner Brothers, could we expect a US release?

That's what it is, it's a remake with a female lead.

Looks promising. I liked Takeshi Kitano's version except for the CGI blood and this one looks like it at least got that part right. Damn, why do Japanese BDs have to be so ridiculously expensive?!

Well you said it "just looks like a a Female version of Zatoichi" which is what I was confirming.

As far as a US release, I haven't heard of a company buying the rights for it yet.

this is a remake of the great zatoichi stories, both on television, and on film.

The original Zatoichi was played by Shintaro Katsu, who also starred in the first movie on the big screen, Zatoichi, then portrayed again in 2003 by Takeshi Kitano (battle royale)...

Hopefully, this remake goes well, and with Miike on board, i highly doubt it would be nothing subtle.
