Question Prince Caspian on WinDVD 9

I put disc 1 in and it goes through all the previews. It gets to the loading screen with Reepicheep swinging his sword back and forth, then the screen goes black and nothing more happens. When I put in disc 2 it went right to the menu after the loading screen.

Does WinDVD need and update before I can watch Prince Caspian or do I need to edit something on my computer?

On another note, I'm seriously considering getting a second BD software package. What do you guys recommend?

There was an update recently...

I prefer ArcSoft TotalMedia Theatre.

ArcSoft integrates into Media Center too.

Already installed that update, didn't help the Prince Caspian BD work.

Thanks for the recommendation, TMT looks to be the way to go. Does it have a trial version?

They used to... something made them pull it but somewhere I seen them state that they were bringing it back "soon"...

You can download ArcSoft's TotalMedia Extreme 1 (15-day trial) from the following link:

http://www.download.com/ArcSoft-Tota...-10838215.html

It's an old version so make sure you check for updates after installing and prior to running the app.

Thanks, downloaded the trial version and Prince Caspian plays fine on it. I'll be buying TotalMedia Theater ASAP.

ArcSoft TMT happens to come with the Sonic UDf reader... makes things happier!
TMT is my preferred BD software.

Glad it's working for you!
