Default The Dark Knight problems

I hope I am putting this in the correct forum! I have a Samsung Bdp-1400 player and cannot get The Dark Knight to play at all. The special effects disc will play but the movie disc will not. I exchanged the disc thinking I had a faulty one but the new one does the same. There is a discussion on Amazon about people having the same issue and I have tried everything suggested there, updated the firmware, let it load for 5 - 10 minutes ( I waited 20 minutes ) and still no luck. Hoping somebody here can help out!

Thanks!

no way you should ever wait that long for your disc to play. make sure your firmware is updated. if it is, you might have a faulty player. try and exchange it if you can!

Yea it sounds like you might need to update your firmware.

Good thing you got it to work.

Always check for updates. I had to update a player for a customer one time and once I updated it, a new update was available immediately after I got done with the first one. So you never know when you might get two updates in a row.

I'm having the same problems with The Dark Night on my Sony BDP-S300 player and I just upgraded the firmware and it's still not playing!!

I put the movie in, the FBI screen comes up, the WB logo flashes, the movie starts to load, nothing happens, then the players just shuts down and restarts.

Frusterating

Wish I could give you some advice. This is the same spot the disc would freeze up on me. Fortunately a firmware upgrade has allowed the movie to load and play. It does still take 1-2 minutes to load when it gets to this point and then it goes straight into the movie without allowing me to access a menu. I don't know if that is how the disc is set up or whether something is still not quite right. Hopefully some of the good folks on here will have some advice for you!
