Default Thoughts on Belly?

It looks like garbage. I went in thinking the highly stylized, glossy visual aproach was going to mean high def eye candy, but its just an overpumped, noisy mess aside from some of the brightly lit shots. I should have read the review here. agree or no?

oh ya and i hated the movie

to me it just felt like a really long rap music video with a plot that could have been written by a 10 year old thrown in just to justify the whole thing as a feature film. And even though the story was about as shallow as you could possibly imagine...the director still found a way to make the movie confusing...what a mess

i love belly and had to grab it from walmart.com since bestbuy.. fye.. target and all the b&m stores didnt carry it in my town and the day i got it home was the day my 2nd ps3 quit reading blus but luckily i had a gamestop warranty and traded it out and that night i watched it and thought it was a huge improvement over the dvd video and sound wise.

Only reason I remotely want to see it is because Nas is in it.

That's pretty much Belly in a nutshell. Since Hype Williams directed it, it looks like exactly what it is, a Hype Williams video shot on a low-budget. If you see some of the videos he directed around that time they look the same only with bigger budgets. As far as the story and acting...that really leaves something to be desired.

I'll tell you...I love Nas to death, but there's a reason he's only done one movie. He should stick to Hip-Hop.

pq is still pretty awful......no reason to buy this unless you are a huge fan of the film.

Well the thing about the PQ is that it looks as good as it can considering that it was shot on a extremely low budget. But your right about buying if only if your a fan of the film.

The movie itself it decent, its more of a modernized scarface. It reminded me of a darker side to scarface.

Naw dude you need to look at it at least once, I force myself to look at bad movies once and awhile so I can appreciate a good one. Unfortunately, I heard most of that damn Soulja Boy album because of my nieces and I think I a little worse for it.

Man, around my friends and brother listening to a Soulja Boy song might get you cursed out. What's funny about it even though we're from the south, you won't see a southern Rap artist cd in our collection unless it's T.I., Outkast (and the Dungeon Family), Ludacris, or Scarface. That's about it, but Little Brother is our group of Choice besides Outkast.

Little brother is my group of choice next to A Tribe Called Quest, **** they are so good.

If you have a chance (if you have not already) see them live, they are great.
