Default What is your most favored Gamepad?

What is your most favored gamepad? Vote, and post!

For me, it's going to have to be Sony's pad. I have large hands, and even this just feels at home to me. Only thing that keeps it on an edge over the Xbox 360 pad, is the D-pad is much more accurate, and because the Xbox 360 requires more palm gripping, I tend to have to re grip more with the Xbox pad when I sweat. As a rule of thumb I've learned over the years = smaller the handles the better.

For me:

1: PS Pads
2: Xbox S-type
3: Xbox 360

What is your favorite pad? I doubt anyone will choose the Jaguar or the Dreamcast pad. However, we may be surprised with the Duke pad. I just ordered me a Duke for my Xbox. How is it?

The Duke! For once a controller made for a man.

Ahh...I can't believe someone voted for the N64 pad. What a horrible design from human factors stand point! There are three ways to hold that thing do to the three handles. Just didn't make any logical sense if you really think about it. Seems like however you choose to hold it, you're always going to have problems pushing certain buttons.

Plus, remember how much times the sticks would wear out? Definitely one of the worse controllers out there. Good system though, many fond memories (007, Mario 64, etc)

Besides the horrible d-pad I find the 360 controller perfect for my hands and I like the analog triggers as they offer a great range of motion and feel.

The wavebird was awesome. It seems of all the console manufacturers, Nintendo is ahead of the curve.

Analog, rumble, wireless, motion. Outstanding stuff.

+1 The 360 controller is by far the best for my hands. After playing an hour with the PS3 controller, my hands are stiff and cramped.

Probably the Sony PS for me, but that's likely because I've logged the most hours with it. That was one nice thing about the PS controller is that it never really changed. It is still the same basic PS One controller, with some added buttons. 20 years from now if you put a PS controller in my hands I would be able to tell you which button is which without looking.
I never liked the original Xbox controller (which I never owned), and the Xbox 360 is just a little too big and cluttered for my taste.
The Dreamcast was an interesting controller, with how you could put a memory card in it and choose your plays in football on that, among other things.

I gotta go with the 360 controller. The analogue triggers are awesome for shooters. The d-pad is not good..... but in the games I like.... it is only used for item selection anyway, and it is more than ample for that.

Same here. I think the offest thumbsticks are placed better than the thumbsticks on the PS controller. I can't game for more than an hour at a time on the PS controller because my wrists begin to cramp due to the awkward angle I have to hold it at to reach everything.

Strangely my hands don't cramp up on DS3/SIXAXIS like they used to with the DS2.

I still give the 360 the nod, except for the horrible dpad. 4 discrete buttons in a d-pad arrangement would be my choice, if possible.

I thought the concept Dualshock3 Batarang looked awesome and very ergonomic while retaining the Playstation identity. Still wish Sony would come out with it.

PS3's dualshock hands down. Symetrical sticks for my symetrical hands... Pure genious to actually make the placement logical for symetrical beings D-Pad that actually is great, really why is it so hard for other company's to make a good d-pad Very precise analog sticks (easily the most precise this gen). Even the sixaxis is nice to have on some games.

Honorable mention to the Wii, I just don't play the Wii much.
