I cant seem to get a signal to go to my Sony SA - W3000 Sub. I have a good cable going from the subwoofer labeled input for the receiver and and to the input on the subwoofer that is labeled in the instructions. I have it powered on.

This is where I have it connected, the one shaded in white that says subwoofer, right above the speaker connections. Hmmm, this is frustrating, every time I select MCACC it never recognizes the Sub and always says the level is too low.

![]() ![]() If you DID plug it into the wrong socket, don't sweat it. Remember, there are two kinds of people in the world: those who have plugged an audio cable into the wrong socket, and those who haven't yet! ![]() Last edited by Samsang; 01-15-2009 at 10:22 PM. |

You definitely need to check three things. 1. The aforementioned, by D1-2005. 2. Make sure there is a signal going out of the subwoofer output on the reciever (test with another known-good amplified sub or audio device with a line level input). 3. Make sure your Sony subwoofer is in correct working order and that the volume control on it is not turned down all the way (go 50% setting to be sure). Good luck! |

How do I test that the signal is coming out of the receiver? Also how do I test the woofer is in good working order? |

Take note after you run MCACC if you want to hear your subwoofer in stereo mode the sub setting should be changed from yes to plus. Also you have a volume control on your remote for each channel including the subwoofer. |
