I think Heath's a lock for Best Supporting Actor, and I'm hoping for Anne Hathaway (Best Actress) and The Curious case of Benjamin Button (Best Movie). Oh, and also HSM3 for best song, hopefully either "Scream" or "High School Musical."

dark knight will never win an oscar for best picture.
no comic based movie will for that matter
lets see the nominees first. as stated before there may be surprises and deceptions.
from the day that i saw the golden compass win the oscar for better Fx and thus having "better" Fx than transformers... i must say... nothing is certain

im not so sure about that. However, the golden globe nominees were not that great, except PSH for Doubt. I think Josh Brolin should get the win, actually.

I love TDK

. One of the best films I have ever seen and nearly everything about the film was perfection. Christopher Nolan did a brilliant job with the material. I am a bit bias because Batman is my favourite comic character and I also loved Batman Begins. I doubt TDK will get many noms but my main hope is for Heath Ledger to get the supporting actor Oscar he so rightly deserves.

i don't think the dark knight deserves cinematography. not when i want to believe came out in the same year. it's really hard to beat the beauty of the vancouver landscape and the snowy/dark scenes. that is incredibly hard to film actually and it was achieved beautifully. the cinematography is as much a part of the story in the movie and the storytelling. the movie wouldn't work in any other setting (it doesn't work at all. it is what i know what many of you will say about the movie so i went ahead and said to say us the trouble.).
