Anyone seen Robin Williams / Bill Cosby? - Blu-ray Forum

They are both coming to my area and I would love to see either of them, have never been to a stand up show.

Are they worth the ticket price?

I haven't seen either of those two, but would go for Robin Williams definitely.
Seen some of his specials on DVD and they are just naughty! Exactly the kind of humor that gets me rolling on the floor laughing.

Been to a few that came here like Kevin Smith, Ralphie May, Margaret Cho, and few others. Saw Eddie Izzard in SF - all worth the admission!

Craig Robinson will be here soon (Darryl from The Office).

As long as he delivers them in a good way I don't really care.
I mean come on how many comedians that are touring right now did not "steal" at least parts of someone else's show?

He made fun of me, which is great. I would say he was surly but never a dick. I would ask him a simple question and then he would talk for about 20 minutes. It was easy.

Cosby was in my area a few years back. i heard his 1st show was good but during his 2nd one he kept checking his watch and didn't deliver like you expected him to. it was like he was tired and didn't want to be there and you could really tell in his performance.

I saw Cosby in the round at Joe Louis I think in about 1986. He told old man jokes about pooping at the Dr.'s office. It wasn't very funny.

Never saw Robin Williams, but I don't like him when he interviews. He's never out of character.

I saw Jay Leno in 86 or 87, and saw Gallagher, too around the same time. Both were better shows than Cosby.

Ive listened to both Cosby and Williams standup...

I would rather see Cosby live than Williams. Robin Williams is funny, but only in movies. His stand up is just out of control. He jumps around to much for my taste. Its like he's doped up on coke the whole night...some of his jokes just go right over my head because of it.

Cosby, he's just plain funny. He can tell PG-13 jokes all night long and I'd have a good time listening. I guess I just relate more to his topics.
