I was reading another thread about trailer that was better than a movie which made me think of really great trailers.

So what is the best trailer you have ever seen?

I'm a big fan of one of the first Watchmen trailers, with the Smashing Pumpkins song "The Beginning Is The End Is The Beginning." It was epic.

I pretty much liked that trailer better than the movie.

for me hands down, benjamin button (the 1st one).

barely any dialogue, as the visuals and music did all the talking...

I agree with The Two Towers trailer, I watched that many times and hunted down the music on the internet.

Lately the Star Trek and Terminator Salvation trailers have been pretty impressive.

the first superman with christopher reeve

star trek : the undiscovered country

star wars: a new hope (i still remember all the publicity about this movie when i was younger it was crazy)

the new star trek has really impress me so far

Well, I gotta go with a classic. It's so inventive, it gives the feel of the movie in spades, it makes you want to see the movie, and yet it doesn't really tell you what it's about...

I remember the music and everything building up perfectly in The Two Towers, but for so many other reasons I have to say the first trailer for The Dark Knight in December 2007. My mind was blown. Even the second one that was posted above (the one with Harvey) is solid.

That new Transformers one is pretty crazy too.

I would say the 300 trailer with the NIN music in the background. That made me go see it at IMAX (1.5 hr drive 1 way).
