Default How does Blu-ray.com Get Those Amazing Screengrabs?????

In the movie reviews on this website, there are beautiful hd screengrabs.

One of the reasons I purchased a bd player for my pc was to grab stills from the discs I purchased.

Imagine my disappointment when I learnt its near enough impossible. I've tried everything - snipping tool in vista (captures only a black image), PrtScn (ditto), WinDVD9 (button disabled).

So, please, does anyone know how the stunning pictures used in this site's reviews are achieved?

Thanks

It's a secret. I could tell you but I'd have to kill ya.

Seriously, we use several high end products in an array for grabbing a frame. The arrangement is proprietary because our goal is to have the highest quality images available anywhere online.

Yeah, thanks Kaitoe

I'd already found that site -but had hoped there was a less complex method.

Seems not!

They probably just pop the disc into a computer and take some screenshots directly using a high-end screenshot program.

Seems logical to me.
