Default J&R Gift Cards and some thoughts on policy

So...I have a credit card that give me 5% back for gas and groceries...with 4 kids and over the past few years I have gotten quite a few points.

Turned them in for JR Gift Cards, basically was going to get a Samsung T260HD for my PC, then the Pioneer Kuro 5020 dropped to $2K. So call them up and they price match a local competitor with free shipping.

The one catch...before I can buy it I have to ship them my gift cards. Their policy is if you use more then 10 you need to send them in.

Now normally I would not think twice but I have over $1300 in gift cards and don't like the idea of not having them in hand.

I could scan them but still...not having is hand is a huge worry to me.

Anyone think I am just being too cautious?
