Default Mac Software to Test For Disc Errors?

Is there any software that can test a Blu-ray that is in an external BD drive? I've heard of some in the past, I believe in a thread on this site, but I'm not sure what it's called or even what the type of software would be called, so I haven't had any luck searching for it.

Have you considered using windows via boot camp? Bluray support on windows is vastly superior to mac.

Thanks, but for something as small as this I haven't thought of it. Do you know of any Windows software that would do this? Maybe I could start there and search for alternatives.

What type of errors are you looking for? Are disc failing to play? Do they play but they jutter and freeze etc?

Mostly skipping errors and other flaws. Sometimes I buy certain sets due to price and don't watch them immediately, and then hear of certain errors with discs. (Friday the 13th set as one example.) I'd like a way to scan the discs without having to personally watch each one, so I could know whether I need to replace them before the return policy is up.

Makes total sense. I know that AnyDVD HD scans the disc. But I don't know if it will do the depth of what you want.

Google FU says that VSO Inspector might be able to sort you out.
