Death Race 4?

Apparently this is being made? But nobody's giving sources! All I'm hearing is it's being made and nobody's saying any links to any news that confirms it. All someone says is it hasn't been announced by Universal, so how do you guys know they're even working on it??? See what I'm saying? Can anyone who knows about this provide links here? I'm a big fan of the Death Race series, so I'd like to know I'm not just getting my hopes for a movie that's supposedly being made but in reality is just a 'what-if'.

Part 1 was entertaining. 2 I'll have to watch again but remember there being a fight cage that took the focus away from the racing. Luke Goss is good as Frankenstein. Part 3 I haven't seen but the trailer shows they finally go into the open desert to race; like Mad Max maybe?

Part 4, they could have on an unused freeway but not sure what the setting will be if it happens.

The question is if it's happening. The comments for DR2050 seem to imply it's being made, but nobody showed links to any articles that says so, and I can't find any myself and the last stuff I do find seems to be dated back to 2014 and only implies that one is possibly coming.

I just picked up part 1 the other day I already had parts 2 & 3. Now they are making a fourth one. Mind you still have not seen Part 3 yet first two were great.

Ah, what the hell? why not? I enjoyed the first three and I hope to see more of Luke Goss. Whilst he wasn't in the first film he really made the series his own. Maybe Goss and Statham can team up?

This artcle is pretty old, but interesting as it has Luke Goss' thoughts on a possible fourth entry.

Oh and 2 was awesome because of Sean Bean, Ving Rhames and of course - Lauren Cohan.

Luke Goss has a movie called War Pigs from 2015.
He was great in Hellboy 2 as Nuada, and Nomak in Blade 2.

Death Race 4 is Death Race 2050. Universal is financing it and Roger Corman is producing it.

Really? Cause in the blu-ray.com article, in the comments, someone else specifically states Death Race 4 is NOT the 2050 project.

A listing doesn't mean too much, but at least it's listed as a possibility, though they have Paul WS Anderson as the story, but a different writer, as he's currently booked working on finishing RE Final Chapter 3D.

Same, it managed to make the concept boring which is a big achievement lol.

Liked the first one especially and the 2nd was very decent for a straight to disc title. I am looking forward to the new one Death Race 2050. Could be interesting.

Apparently the year for Death Race 4 is 2017...Probably to distance it from the Corman movie coming this year.
