Default Memento (2000) (10th Anniversary Special Edition)

Memento

Memento Blu-ray

Memento Blu-ray Review

Ten years after its powerful theatrical debut, the new classic thriller Memento celebrates its anniversary with the arrival of a new 10th Anniversary Blu-ray Disc release. Written and directed by Christopher Nolan (Inception, The Dark Knight), this mind-bending film debuts with an all-new director-approved high definition transfer. Suspenseful and unique, Memento stars Guy Pearce (The Hurt Locker) as Leonard, a man who suffers from a rare brain disorder on a mission for revenge. The 10th Anniversary Blu-ray Disc comes packed with special features including a brand new featurette with the director discussing the legacy of the film, plus the director's script, audio commentary with Christopher Nolan, the original short story, "Anatomy of a Scene" and more! The DVD is also available for an SRP of $14.98.

Leonard's life has been stolen from him. Unable to form new memories, but determined to track down the man who is the cause of his disorder and his wife's murderer, he must piece together what he remembers from the past in order to determine what is real in the present.

Pricing: Blu-ray Disc - $19.99

Release Date: February 22, 2011

Yeah, stuff like that always happens to me, too.

I got this for, like, $15 used at Newbury a few months ago.

I'll still probably double-dip on this Blu-ray. If it's a major difference from the first Blu-ray release in terms of picture quality and what not, I'll pull the trigger on it. It's one of my favorites.

I hope this movie receives a much better transfer than the original blu-ray. If it does, I'm buying it. Excellent movie.

I'm glad I held out. I knew that they'd need to do a new release after hearing about how subpar the first one was.

Lionsgate? I think the original disc was Sony, I'd be more comfortable if they were still handling the film.

Hope the new transfer is a good one. Not the kind of movie where it really matters, but 4K/camera negative would be nice.

Yes, Lionsgate acquired distribution rights for Newmarket's library.

It's not that bad, just MPEG2 like most early Sony releases.

Depending on how much better the transfer is, I might buy this version. I remember getting the original release for like 10 bucks on sale. So it didnt really set me back that much.

Maybe the quality will once again be inferior like other second editions of Blu-rays I've owned making me once again not feel that bad about already owning it.

Well, it's Memento. And, it's Christopher Nolan so, I have to have it.

If this "director approved new transfer" is indeed the true, then I'm in like Flint.

Good to hear. I sold the SE DVD a few months back in anticipation of the UK Blu-ray that had all the extras, only to discover that the UK disc had a pitch problem with the soundtrack(the music and dialogue were too slow). So I'll get rid of that crappy disc along with the original Blu-ray from Sony when this comes out.

Definitely double-dipping on this one, it'd be great if they remastered it. Memento is one of my very favorites. First day purchase for me!

It's "In like Flynn."

Sorry, but people messing up cliche's annoys me. I can't allow you to walk through life being made fun of for that. Like when people say "butt naked" instead of "buck naked." Yeah, it's tough being me.
