Default Question about BD Players

If I do not have a Hi-Def TV yet, but want to go ahead and purchase the player, and start collecting movies and such. Will any or all of the players down convert to play on my regular TV, until I can afford to purchase an HDTV?

Thanks,

Thanks,
Automatically downconverts because of the cables you must use. You can get it now and upgrade the set later.

Thanks,
Why not wait on purchasing movies and use that money for a TV?

Anyone on this site would welcome another Blu member, but you're wasting money on a player and movies on a standard def TV.

You said because of the cables.... Does this mean I can use my Component, or do I haveto use a different cable?

The reason why is because I want a good TV, not a cheap 1080p one. Therefore, I can continue to set aside money for in (unless tax return arrives sooner) and purchase a good TV, and still have movies to watch when I get it
