Exclamation night at the museum 2.35.1 fills up my 16x9 hdtv?!?!?!?

so i was in circuitcity over the weekend and they had thier blu-ray promo section set up playing night at the museum on sonys bluray player on a 50" dlp, then it hit me......wait! isnt that movie presented in 2.35.1 ?? where are the black bars???? why is it that this movie fills up the screen but all the other 2.35.1 nluray movies i own have the black bars on top????

They zoomed it, cutting off a little bit from the sides.

It's not a 2.35 film. It's 1.85. The box is mislabeled.

I just watched the standard DVD last night.

It fills up all but about 1/2cm at the top and the bottom of my screen.

You can make it fit the screen by zooming but it's not worth it for a little black bar.

I think you're absolutely right. My box says 2.35 but if it really was 2.35 it would have the bars. Does this mean the movie is worth more now since the cover is defective? lol

Default 52" Sony Bravia XBR2 filled up

This Blu-ray Night at the Museum filled up my whole screen. And I never set my display to fill screen (meaning I like to watch in original aspect ratio - even if it means black bars on top and bottom). I think the cover was mislabeled.
