Anyone import The Machinist? - Blu-ray Forum

Amazon has it for 30ish bucks and says it plays on all region players. Yet when I search this site it comes up as Region B with no reviews or anything. Can anyone confirm this one from Amazon will work on US players? And if so.. the PQ AQ? Any good?

Any help appreciated.

Any of the imports Amazon currently sells are region free. They've just started listing imports recently and there is a fairly decent list. On the subject of imports, Amazon Canada also has Seven and Requiem for a Dream as March 3rd releases.

Awesomeness! But I did read under the Running Scared comments that even though Amazon claimed it to be region free... it didnt work on someones US player.

Hidefdigest gave the PQ a 4.5/5. They say it' s even better than the Japanese HD-DVD release since you can see more detail in the shadows.

The picture quality is without question top notch and the movie itself is a personal favorite of mine. It's crazy to think Christian Bale went from the skeleton he was in this movie to Batman in such a short time.

It is region-free and it is of course 1080/24p so no problem with US players. I watched it on my US Panasonic and it played perfectly fine.
