Default Problems with BD-J protected titles on WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray

Okay folks I need your help if you would be so kind.

My specs are:

AMD 6000+ X2 processor
Nvidia Geforce 8800GTX with firmware up to date
Creative X-Fi Xtreme Gamer again with up to date firmware
Pioneer BDC 202 brand new

Okay so I am noticing alot of stopping and starting on movies protected with BD-J movies like The Dark Knight, Die Hard, Man on Fire etc

Anyone else having this kind of problem? Would it just be a case of changing Blu-ray software? If that is the case what is the best Blu-ray software player?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Well, my comments are going to assume ya meant stuttering instead of stopping/starting. Which may actually have more to do with the render capabilities.

The HD-assist on the 8800 isn't that great. It improved significantly with later revisions [the 8600 can actually be faster at h.264 decoding due to this, but really, it's about the only real substantive difference between the 8800 and the 9800 series ]. Do make sure you using PureVideo if you can and standard minimizing non-necessary processes.

Thanks for the advice I tried arcsoft last night and The Dark Knight played smoothly so it's probably nothing to do with BD-J.

It still struggles a bit with 28 Weeks Later H.264 as you said at high bitrates.

So I guess it is to do with the 8800 not being very good with Blu-ray...Damn.
