First unplug all usb devices then turn on console. Second plug blue singstar mic into blue jack in USB dongle and plug USB dongle into USB port 1 on your PS3. Third turn on your wireless controller (used for star power) and make sure it is set to controller 1. Fourth plug in GH:WT USB Dongle into USB port 2 and turn on the wireless guitar making sure it is showing as controller 2. Fifth enter the game and you will find that only the vocals will light up in single mode however if you go to band mode you will be able to enter the game with both instruments aviailable. I've used my SingStar mics once on Rock Band to do a VS match with a friend on mics, but they didn't seem to pick up as well as the Rock Band mic. Maybe with some fiddling around such as in the reply above it would work well, but I had no desire to try to do it again after my first experience.

SingStar mics work on the PS3 version of both Rock Band 1 and Rock Band 2, but you need to disconnect the red microphone and use only the blue mic. Also, you need to turn the microphone sensitivity way up in the game menu (square button on your controller while playing a song, or hit the start button and push the slider to the right for microphone sensitivity).
