Hello, im doing 2 HDMI runs for a customer....& was thinking of this 24AWG ver 1.3 http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2 or this 22AWG Non 1.3 http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
i will be doing 2 of these....1 30' & 1 35'.........i did notice the 24 awg is flat & 22 is round & thick......please help thanks. ![]() |

You will want to go with something rated for long runs. 22 gauge would probably be better.
I think the 1.2a spec may be a misprint because TrueHD and DTS-HD are not supported until 1.3a. I would contact Monoprice to confirm. |

The 22 gauge cable is for in-wall installation. It is very thick and inflexible. If it accidentally pops out of the HDMI input of your equipment, it can damage it. It happended to me. As I was adjusting my projector, it did come out and completely messed up the pins on the HDMI input of the projector. I had to send my projector to Epson. They were nice enough to send me a new one and I bought a more flexible VasterCable from ebay. Last edited by Big Daddy; 02-08-2009 at 01:38 AM. |
