Prisoners easily. Gone Girl is one of the weakest Fincher films. It's pretty dumb at times too.

Both are genuinely great movies but Gone Girl wins out in the end, due to how thoroughly satisfying it is.

I think both are excellent films, but I had to go with Gone Girl. It just blew me away when I first saw it, and it's simply loaded top to bottom with terrific performances. It has it all, too. It's got thrills, surprises, humor, and characters that are really memorable. Oh, and a killer soundtrack that I find myself listening to often.

Hard question. I had to think for a while but I went with Prisoners.

Gone Girl

Well scripted
Perfectly directed
Oscar caliber performance from Rosamund Pike
First Tyler Perry movie I enjoy
Mesmerizing score

Prisoners

Well scripted
Incredible performances from Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhall, Paul Dano and David Dastmalchian
Perfectly directed
Astonishing cinematography
Wonderful score (RIP Johannsson, I miss you. Gone too soon.)

Prisoners ends up being slightly better than Gone Girl. Both are incredible films.

Gone Girl 8.3/10
Prisoners 8.5/10

Very difficult decision. I'd go with GG but honestly they're both superb.

Both are damn good, but I give the edge to Fincher's film.

Why not both? Tough one to decide.

I'll with Prisoners though. But both are faves of mine.

"Gone Girl" has a little bit of an edge over "Prisoners" in my opinion.
