Just as the title asks. I looked at the both. Monitor 60's are $139 but out of stock. T90e's are $149 in stock. All at new egg. Any difference between these two?
Will they work fine with just my receiver pushing them? Then I have to find a center as well. ![]() |

I purchased (6) from New Egg.
(4) for $130 Each & (2) for $125 Each. They are an Europeon version. They are Black in Color. I am driving with a ONKYO TX-SR806. I also picked up a Polk Audio CS2 Center Speaker to match from Crutchfield for $140. You could also use a CS1, CS10, or CS20 Center Speaker to Timbre Match. You can cut & paste this link in your browser to find products. http://www.polkaudio.com/search/older-models.php Hope this helps. |

Pretty much just the color and a few style points differentiate the M60 and the T90e. The T90e is more specifically called the T90e "Euro" and is thought to be the European model equivalent to the M60.
They are given the same specs, including dimensions. I have a pair of T90e speakers, and as you can imagine, I really, really like them. See my gallery photos for a look at them in the "real world." They are quite attractive, especially if your theater is of the classic "black and silver/gray" colors. Their sound will well worth the $300 you will pay for a pair - clean and defined. Not a lot of bass extension with them, but that's a rather moot point in most HT arrangements. I have mine set as "small" with the crossover point at 90Hz. Your Onk 805 should power them just fine. For a center channel, the Polk Audio CS10 is probably the best for timbre-matching the T90e, with identical woofer and tweeter drivers. Last edited by Rob J in WNY; 02-17-2009 at 02:08 AM. |

Sorry, we just posted on top of each other. I have not heard the Klipsch Synergy F-3 speakers closely to the T90e/M60 speakers. Hopefully, someone can come in and provide a little insight on comparing the two!

Done deal. Order confirmation.
Center channel might be able to wait. My speakers right now are actually decent IMHO but I just wanted a bit more depth so going with floor standers with triple 5.25" woofers should help with that. |

You people make me spend too much money.
Not to sound like an ol' fart(because I'm just 22, nearly 23), but when I first came to this board all I had was my Sony 46" XBR3 and an Onkyo HTIB.... now I've bought 2 Blu-ray players, a new receiver, a new sub, a new remote, and now new speakers. ![]() ![]() Not to mention our theater room which just got theater seating last night! Costcos had them for $300 off each set ;-) Picked up 2 sets.(6 chairs) Last edited by Footloose301; 02-17-2009 at 02:19 AM. |
