Favorite game as a kid

What was your favorite board game as a kid? There will most likely be generational differences here.

There were a lot of good games, but Mouse Trap had to be the best one.

Battleship was good, if your opponent didn't cheat
Stratego was good
Monopoly took too long
LIFE was good
Stay Alive was only okay. It was like checkers.

I also loved playing gin rummy with my grandfather, rummy 500 with my grandmother and cutthroat Euchre with them both.

Euchre is a great game, so simple, yet so full of strategy, tactics and bluffing.

To wax on, I have to mention the fact that my grandfather (paternal) was the best for playing games as a kid. He is the only one who NEVER let you win. If you beat him at any game, you know you really beat him. I used to have this thing doing jigsaw puzzles with him. I would hide one piece so I could put in the last one. He caught on and hid his own last pieces and faked me out thinking one was missing, so he could put in the last one. Very awesome!
