Search function, add another function?

Tagging movies with director's names.
i.e. searching for Stanley Kubrick only a bd collection shows up.
It could be easier searching for movies by directors too, if you have a
favourite director and if you wanna know how many movies are released
on blu-ray by a certain director.
Too much work? not needed?

Right next to the search bar you can choose cast and crew... hmmm
that pretty much closed the case... and why didn't anybody answer?
