UPDATE: eBay closed the auction.
Never thought I'd see this one coming, but at the same time I'm hardly surprised. CNET reports that early XBOX-Live adopter Chris Braziano is selling his "wildly popular" xbox live gamertag, "HITMAN" on eBay. He was one of the first people to sign up for Live during its beta testing in 2002, and now decided to see how much he could profit off selling his name. Before the auction was closed the final bid was at $365 ![]() Hey, in our current economy, if the man is able to get a few bucks (or much more) by selling his gamertag, who am I to bash him? ![]() Last edited by Sussudio; 02-11-2009 at 10:33 PM. |

I'm guessing the seller would just have to turn over his e-mail address and password. What could MS really do about it? How would they even know? What's his gamerscore anyway? Folks with really high gamerscores could probably get some cash selling their accounts. |

![]() It came to me in an instant... as I read the sign up page it instructs to select a "unique gamertag" so immediately typed in UniqueGamerTag. The fact that it was still available shows how long I've been on Live ![]() Mostly I got a lot of "UniqueGamerTag... now THAT'S a unique gamertag." A few times when I had to call support the guys there, that hear gamertags all day long, even remarked how it was a "uniquegamertag." |

I was just gonna say that, isn't 4,280 extremely low for someone who has been around so long? I mean I NEVER play online and rarely play games thoroughly to get all of the bonuses and even I have almost 5,000. Shouldn't he have like over 100,000? That part looks photoshopped to me.

I am possibly the worst FPS multi-player so it just struck me odd that I could possibly have more points than him, or anyone for that matter. I know the GS isn't just from online play but you have to be pretty good to even want to play online for so long. I wonder how it's even possible to give it to someone else.
