Batman Begins "Coming Soon" To Blu-Ray!!!!!!!! - Blu-ray Forum

Wooooooooooooooo one of the very very few title on HD i want for BR is actually coming soon!. i was at Best buy today and it was on there TV/BluRay Set up, i asked the sales dude if this was real he said it should be,there might be a preview disc in there. so i waited to seee if anything special would pop up and at the 4minute mark it shut of and said

^^ Isn't that the same preview/demo disc that's been out for months now?

I don't want to burst a bubble, but that demo been out for at least six months.

We all know Warner claims to be intending to release Batman Begins (V for Vendetta, The Matrix, etc.) on BD, but put up or shut up is quickly becoming my attitude.

I would like this movie too, but PLEASE don't release it with DD.....

Give us a high bit-rate VC-1 / AVC.... and TrueHD or PCM... This movie deserves the best...

Hopefully they'll do this since they've got enough time between format releases. I don't like it when they port the HD-DVD to BD, and while I don't excuse, I can see why they do it from their standpoint. With these titles coming out such a long time after the HD-DVD versions, hopefully they'll just make a new encode for BD.

Now, THAT would bring balance back to "The Force", but somehow I don't think Warner is gonna do a high bitrate encode of these titles. Bastards (whoops...did I type that out loud)!

I'd take less-than-optimal releases, just to help the blu-ray cause at this point.

At some point, Warner will revisit these titles. They're perennial cash cows for the company. Just put them out on blu-ray so they aren't glaring advantages for the HD-DUD crowd. We can worry about higher quality versions later.
