Watched the movie last night on DVD (the only available format in the UK). I didn't know about the 4:3 and I was very surprised about it. It did not spoil the vision of the movie though. Do you know if the US edition will be Region Free like most of the Osc discs?

Not sure if I'm telling you something you already know, and apologies if so, but it was 4:3 (or 1.37 rather) in the cinemas too. That's the ratio it was designed for.

Honestly this was one of the more disappointing movies of the year for me, when factoring in critical acclaim/reviews, even though I wasn't expecting it to be amazing per se.

I'm a big western fan and I'm into revisionist takes on that genre (the spaghetti westerns, Unforgiven, No Country For Old Men kinda fits that mold), but this film did nothing for me. Without being to spoilery, you could read some sort of political allegory into it but how it is presented onscreen is not particularly compelling and incredibly plodding.

Certainly not recommended as a blind-buy, even at that price.

This was one of the worst movies of the year - well, not "worst" as in traditionally awful, but certainly the most boring film of the year. Definitely not a blind buy.

Just got it, and man is the packaging wonderful. It reminded me of the iPod-video(later classic) packaging where you practically fall in love as you unwrapped it.

Can someone who bought this recently tell me if actually this one comes in some kind of special packaging? I never saw a picture of it and I don't know if it is Slipcover, a Digipack, or a Special Packaging. I really would like to buy this one but I want to be sure of what I will get. I found in some online stores a different cover as shown on the first post. A picture would be amazing

The reason why it looks different than what is pictured here is because it comes with a slipcover that looks like this. Underneath the slipcover is the packaging that's in the first post. I should mention that the packaging pictured in the first post is a slipbox that holds a cardboard foldout with the discs tucked into sleeves.
