Default NSTCTV for blu ray films?

i live in the UK i will soon be getting a PAL TV with a PAL PS3. Does my HDTV need to have NCTC if i want to view blu ray movies i brought from the UK?

going to go through HDMI.

i think u mean NTSC yes? if so then almost all movies are outputting at 1080i/p60 or 1080p24 depending on your source player but any HDTV with HDMI will be able to support 1080i60 and if its full 1080p it will cover all bases and perhaps even 1080p24 if its a top spec tv.

so a tv purchased in the UK will be fine with imported USA equipment and movies will play, for HD there isnt really such a thing as PAL and NTSC anymore. its just a matter of making sure your tv supports all the resolutions of the new formats.

the only thing that will stop you watching a movie is if they are region locked. so just make sure any film purchased is for you region or is a region free title.
