[The Big Blue]

Living room setup, nothing too fancy.

Got a Pioneer 5020 a few weeks ago which necessitated new furniture. It's always amazing to me how difficult it is to find something you like that also does most of what you want functionally. Anyway, after 3 weeks of looking we settled on a piece. I think it looks cool as hell and the wife likes it almost as much as I do.



Unfortunately that's a 60G PS3 so I'll see how that goes heatwise. This is basically the same situation with the PS3 when I first got it but for the last year or so the PS3 was sitting on the floor on a piece of black marble.

Cable TV/Internet: Scientific Atlanta ? HD box / Cox hispeed modem

Nice weathered stand- I think heat might be a serious consideration. With the Receiver and the PS3 and whatever it's sitting on.

I would put the PS3 at the bottom...more breathing room! That begs the question however, does it fit there?

Thanks. That'a an MD deck under the PS3 so no heat issues there.

I've thought about putting the PS3 down on the bottom. It would fit nicely there and sort of showcase the PS3. I set it up this way initially because I'm trying to hide that fugly gray SA cable box on the bottom.

Ahhh. Love that movie as well. Yes, that is the film. A very good film by Luc Besson (Fifth Element, The Profesional (Leon), etc..).

The thing I noticed was the Griffin Dunne Rosanna Arquette combo which I liked in one of my fav comedies After Hours.

Yep. After Hours is a classic. The Big Blue is kind of an odd film about free diving (deep sea diving without tanks). I highly recommend it as a rental (The current DVD is the extended version which I think is better than the original, but some of the music I liked was changed from the theatrical version.)

I don't know why, but that film has the same effect on some women that everclear (not the band) does.

"Oh, you haven't seen it? Its good, get comfortable and I'll start the movie"

(Three hours go by)

"Yeah, you're going to have to go home now. I have to be up early for something".

I don't know what it was, but it worked.
