Question Which one should I get: Amadeus or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?

I was in Best Buy today and I saw that the Blu-ray digibooks of both Amadeus and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest are on sale this week, and I would love for one of them to be my very first Blu-ray digibook for my collection. Could anyone tell me which one I should get ASAP?

Can't really go wrong IMO. Just depends on your taste.

One flew over the Cuckoos Nest is great. Arent these totally different types of movies though? I have never seen Amadeus. Is it good like the preceding and say Shawshank Redemption? I guess I kinda see a relationship between those two movies.

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is a great film, as is Amadeus. The connection is that they are both Best Picture Oscar Winners (1975 and 1984, respectively) and both Warner titles that have large audiences due to their status as classics. A very difficult choice; I would get both if they are $15 each.

I agree, get both while they are both $14.99 at Best Buy. I have One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and highly recommend it. Just bought Amadeus and waiting for it to arrive from Amazon. Blind buy, but I have heard it is a classic so I took the chance.

They're also directed by the same person, Milos Forman.

I just bought both. I'd go with Amadeus.

I picked up Casino (MUST OWN) and Amadeus on a blind buy. I passed on Cuckoo's Nest (one of my all time faves) I may go back and pick it up. Amadeus looks good and sounds great.

Both are two of the Grand Old Men of Oscar Best Pictures since 1975, but Amadeus is newer. (And less 70's.)

You've seen 70's Nicholson before, but F. Murray Abraham only had one good Oscar role.

Well, after seeing everyone's quick responses on what I should get, I've decided to go with Amadeus first. Because truth be told, I've never seen Amadeus before at all, so I know that I'm in for a real treat with that one. And I'll pick up One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest later on in the year.

And Barbie-Shrimp, in regards to your response on the Bonnie and Clyde digibook, I'll probably get that one when it goes on sale sometime this year as well.

Thanks, everyone!

In the meantime, enjoy the trailer:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Du-rD2QL1Pc
(Which doesn't really reflect the movie, since the trailer was trying to imitate the artsy Broadway play dialogue that everyone knew at the time, but gives you a good idea of how amazing the thing looks...)

Don't forget that Immortal Beloved, also on Blu, makes a great chaser as followup.
