Default DDL in There Will Be Blood - other actors that carry the movie?

I just got finished watching There Will Be Blood again and noticed that Daniel Day Lewis was in every single scene, besides the one when Eli climbs over the dinner table and slaps his dad around.

The total running time for the film was 158 minutes. So that means that DDL had over 2 and 1/2 hours of screen time in a single film

Is this interesting to anyone else?

Can anyone think of another film where an actor has carried a film like DDL did in TWBB?

Shorter movies but:

Bruce Willis in The Sixth Sense. The movie 'stays with him' for obvious reasons
Michael Douglas in Falling Down
Harvey Keitel in Bad Lieutenant

Christian Bale in American Psycho and The Machinist.

is this just screen time or when a single actor makes a movie worth seeing? I can't tell from context because both apply to DDL in TWBB. I didn't really like anything besides him in that movie but I still had to buy it.

Tom Hanks Cast Away. He was the only one on screen for most of that movie.

I was commenting more on the screen time than the level of performance by DDL, which was also brilliant.

I really don't think that there has been a performance in a film that took up more than 2 and 1/2 hours of screen-time.

Good call with Tom Hanks in Cast Away.

But the movie itself was only 143 minutes, so even if Tom Hanks was in every second of the film, it still wouldn't equal DDL in TWBB.
