OK, this is the first time I'm actually starting a thread of my own here at Blu-Ray.com - so I hope I'm doin it right!

Here goes...
I was always a fan of the Rolling Stones concert movie - 'Shine A Light', but I never did buy it on Blu-Ray.

Recently (just days ago) I was going to finally purchase it, but then saw online where the movie is to actually be
rereleased, but I couldn't find out just WHY?

Does anyone here actually know why?

I'm just wondering if I should wait a few more weeks, and buy the rereleased version, or just go ahead, and buy the previous?

I mean why rerelease it? Is the new version going to have extras, or something worth waiting for?

Surely there must be a reason...it's not as if the older version was rare, and hard to find - there are copies of it for sale most everywhere.

Any info on this would be appreciated.

Paramount regained the rights from WB so it's technically a new release under them.

It's just Paramount re-issuing an old title that WB distributed for them for while (until that deal expired). Nothing new in terms of features, I can assure you. Buy whichever version you can find cheapest.

No wonder I couldn't find any info on it myself, as it was as you say, clearly nothing new.

I had already found the title really cheap on Ebay, and will now proceed to by it there.
