I use to buy and sell alot on ebay, but as of late I have just been waiting on deals on amazon. Unless its a hard to find item.

Same here, except I don't do any selling. I bought all three Terminators on Blu in unopened, brand new retail packaging for under $60 shipped from eBay. I probably could have gotten them individually for less total if I would have researched, but less than $20 per title average is pretty good, and it was a convenient purchase because I got all the ones I wanted in one auction.

As a general rule, I stay away from buying optical media in general because of piracy issues (I do not want copies of anything; I want the real deal), but fortunately for my the few optical media purchases I've made have been legit. I've also purchased a few Wii games on eBay.

Hard to go wrong with Amazon nowadays, though. It seems better regulated/safer for the consumer.

I also buy and sell on ebay. I have sold allot of Blu-ray and bought several. Just look at there feedback rating. I look for 98% and above with a minimum of 25 feedbacks. I have had no issues with buying on Ebay.

I've bid on random things over the years, but hadn't purchased anything until recently, when I saw a guy selling the Soundstage Blu-Rays, and they weren't going for much (ending price was generally $0.99-$2, and shipping was another $2-3), so I picked up some of those. Unfortunately for him, he had A LOT, and they were all selling for such low prices.

I wonder if listing them as BlueRays is what was causing them to not be noticed, but the pictures he had of them looked normal. They should be arriving Monday, so I guess I'll know for sure then.

Once in a while if I find a good deal. I was once ripped off though by a seller sending me 3 blurays with printed out custom sleeves. The BD discs were original however but he never mentioned the case was not.

I used to buy and sell on eBay a lot but since they altered the feedback rules I stopped selling. As for Blus, no experience on eBay with those. I typically buy camera accessories, filters, etc.

I have never bought blu-rays on there but my wife and I do buy lots of other stuff. I used to sell alot on there but the d#mn fees have gotten so outrageous it's not worth it anymore. Now I use Craigslist for just about everything.

I bought a couple of "new" Blu-rays after having not bought anything there in years. One was fine while the other BD was slashed through the cover with a broken case. I will continue to use Amazon in the future.

i would never sell tickets on ebay, basically with the way paypal works, and the horror stories I have heard. Basically someone could buy them, go to the game and come back and get a refund by saying they werent as described

At least they have a chance of winning that game. Come playoff time we all know what is going to happen.

Such a distinguished Architect as yourself? Can't you afford whatever you want no matter the cost?

Edit: Oh sorry, you're an importer/exporter. And the economy sucks, my bad.

Well I don't in Australia because the prices are always higher on ebay here. I prefer to go to a brick and mortar store or go and buy ir from JB Hi-Fi online.

I rarely buy on E-bay anymore, there doesn't seem to be the deals there used to be. I'll pick up the odd thing here and there, but only after I research online to make sure it's a good deal.

An example from both sides, I bought a Hsu Research VTF-2 for around 380 while online it sells for 600. I also saw SF IV collectors edition going for 129.99 because everybody is saying it's sold out, went to best buy last night picked it up for 79.99.

I constantly see things priced right at or above retail cost, but because it's E-bay people think they are getting a good deal for some reason. Last christmas the AT-TE for Star Wars was going for 200-300, I picked it up from Amazon for retail price. It's ridiculous how people try to gouge and make huge profits off things that are easily available from other channels.

I much more prefered E-bay when it was more a flea market versus people trying to run businesses and make huge amounts of profit quickly. I understand these people want to make a living sitting at home, but I also want to spend my money wisely.

I prefer the amazon marketplace and half.com. But I've gotten a few imports for sale that I couldn't get anywhere else.
